At CustomTieDowns, we are committed to delivering your order as quickly as possible. Whether we are shipping a small package, large package, pallet or an entire container, CustomTieDowns has a shipping solution. The following page outlines CTD's shipping policy.

Almost all orders are shipped from our above primary address. All time frames noted below refer to business days.

After placing an order, CustomTieDowns assigns an expected shipping date. As long as you have your invoice number, the expected shipping date can be found on our Order Tracker page. Order status is updated daily in real time.

CustomTieDowns works hard to ship your orders as quickly as possible. Unlike some of our competitors, CustomTieDowns actually manufactures the majority of our orders. Real-time production is how we can offer such a large selection of configurations, lengths and colors. Production times are typically between 3-5 business days, but complexity of the product, special customizations and order quantity can extend the production time.

The benefit of ordering from CustomTieDowns is that you get to purchase the product you need, not be forced to select from a limited selection of products a company has sitting in their warehouse. To help get your order delivered the quickest, we offer a large selection of shipping carrier options too. Our primary small package carriers are UPS and US Postal Service as noted below.

Rush Services and Expedited Shipping

CustomTieDowns offers Rush production services and expedited shipping services from our carriers. Rush production is a fee based service and can be quoted by customer service. Rush production may include same day or next day order completion. Higher quantity orders or more specialized production products may require additional time even with rush production. Each rush order is handled separately and details can be provided by the customer service representative. Shipping of Rushed orders is still subject to carrier cut-off times noted below.

Expedited shipping is considered any shipping service when the carrier's transit time is faster than ground shipping service. Examples of expedited shipping include Next Day Air, Second Day Air, Third Day Select and Priority Express. Expedited shipping services and their associated cost can be seen or selected during the checkout process. The noted price of expedited shipping does not include rush production. Orders including expedited shipping will still be subject to standard production times unless rush production is arranged separately. Orders including expedited shipping are subject to the shipping carrier pickup times as noted below. Orders including expedited shipping, placed after the shipping carrier cut-off times, will be handled the next business. If expedited shipping is selected, Customer Service will contact the customer via email to confirm any required delivery date.

We offer Expedited shipping services as a courtesy to our customers, but we cant guarantee the carriers services. Once the shipment is handed to the carrier, we no longer have control over its delivery timeline. If a problem or delay occurs and the carrier guarantees their service, we will work with the customer and the carrier to attempt to find a resolution.

Shipping Cut-off Times

CustomTieDowns shipping carriers pick-up packages on a daily schedule Monday-Friday. We dont offer shipping services on Saturday/Sunday. As a reminder, most orders are real-time custom built and require a few days to produce.

On your order's scheduled shipment day, cut-off times for the carriers are as follows:
US Postal, 11:00 am PST M-F
UPS, 1:00 pm PST M-F

Changes to the shipping service or carrier must occur before the noted time to be completed.

Tracking Information

Regardless of carrier, tracking information will be sent to the email address used during checkout after shipping has occurred.

Tracking information is provided as a courtesy to the customer, providing as much visibility possible. Once shipping has been processed, CTD does not guarantee the accuracy of the tracking information or expected delivery times posted by the carrier.

Small Package Shipping Carriers

CustomTieDowns uses numerous shipping carriers to handle a wide variety of shipment types. Common shipment types are residential, commercial, LTL and Ocean freight. For our residential and commercial customers, UPS and US Postal are our primary small package carriers.

To explain our small package carrier shipping options better, it is important define Transit Time.

"TRANSIT TIME" is the amount of time it takes a shipment to be delivered after the carrier picks it up.

Transit times are be based on the pick up location, delivery location and carrier service selected. Each carrier has different transit times to different geographical regions. Not all carrier shipping options are available for every customer location. On our website, during checkout, we show the available shipping options for your delivery address.

UPS ShippingUPS Shipping Services

UPS Business Days / Transit Days are Monday - Friday. Special arrangements can be made for Saturday delivery, but Saturday and Sunday are not counted when considering transit time.

    UPS Services Offered Are:
  1. UPS Next Day Air (1 Day standard transit time)
  2. UPS Second Day Air (2 Day standard transit time)
  3. UPS Third Day Select (3 Day standard transit time)
  4. UPS Ground (1-7 Days standard transit time), transit time is based on delivery location
  5. International

UPS allows customers with UPS billable accounts to charge shipping services charges to their account. refers to this as "UPS Collect" Shipping.

In order to use UPS Collect service, a valid UPS account must be provided during checkout.

UPS offers two types of UPS Collect services:

1) Bill Receiver
Bill Receiver refers to billing shipping charges to the receiver of the goods.

2) Bill Third Party
Bill Third Party refers to billing shipping charges to a third party, typically the customer placing the order, but not the final receiver of the goods.

UPS Collect services are provided as a courtesy to our customers. If for any reason, UPS Collect (Bill receiver or Bill Third Party) billing attempt fails to complete through UPS Billing, the bill-to customer on the invoice will be held responsible for all shipping charges and applicable fees. does not guarantee UPS Billing services.

US Postal ServiceUS Postal Service (USPS)

US Postal Business Days / Transit Days are Monday - Saturday. Sunday is not counted when considering transit time.

    US Postal Services Offered Are:
  1. Priority (2-3 Day Service Anywhere in the US)
  2. Expedited (1-2 Day Service Anywhere in the US)
  3. International Priority (Transit Time Dependent on Delivery Country)
  4. First Class

Although we offer multiple USPS services, for small shipments within the USA, US Postal Priority is often the best option. Shipping costs are very affordable and transit times are typically no more than 2-3 days to all U.S. states including Puerto Rico.

CustomTieDowns wants all orders to go as smoothly as possible. Unfortunately, there are occasional issues during the shipping process. The following covers the procedure for handling orders lost or damaged during transit.

    In Transit Lost Orders
  1. Orders not received within 3 business days of the "expected" delivery date are considered potentially lost.
  2. Please bring any potential shipping issue to customer service at CustomTieDowns as quickly as possible.
  3. CustomTieDowns work with the carrier to determine whether the shipment is lost.
  4. If the shipment is deemed lost, CustomTieDowns will provide a full replacement.
  5. CustomTieDowns will cover any Shipping charges equal to or less than the shipping charges of the original shipment.
    Goods Damaged In-Transit
  1. Please bring any potential damaged product to CustomTieDowns attention as quickly as possible
  2. CustomTieDowns will need proof of the damaged goods by photo or by returning the damaged product to CustomTieDowns.
  3. If product is deemed to be damaged, CustomTieDowns will replace the product at CustomTieDowns expense.
  4. CustomTieDowns will cover any Shipping charges equal to or less than the shipping charges of the original shipment.
